About

In Flathead County Montana, a 911 Foundation was formed to insure improvements in the quality and reliability of 911 response teams available to the residents and visitors of Flathead County. The 911 Foundation manages revenues donated to the 911 fund and establishes procedures of disbursement of these funds. Additionally, the 911 Foundation helps acquire additional state and federal funding for training, equipment and services.

In 2006, the Flathead 911 Foundation was founded as a non-profit group after having witnessed the time and talents that our first responders, many of them volunteers, give to the citizens and guests of the Flathead Valley. It has been three years of observing these devoted first responders always ready to do whatever it takes to rescue, transport and keep us safe in the Flathead. The Foundation is based on the belief that our volunteers must be reimbursed for any personal expenditures they experience while responding to any emergency; for equipment, fuel or personal protective requirements.
